Since graduating in May ‘17, Nick Camardo has pursued a career in filmmaking and film preservation. From 2017 to early 2019, Nick worked as a producer for human rights filmmakers, Worldwide Documentaries, and produced a documentary about migration in the United States with support from the National Geographic Society. Nick currently works in the offices of the Shoah Foundation and is also spearheading an effort to digitize over 1,000 16mm & 35mm films from the US Department of Defense. It was through an internship with DeBergerac Productions that Nick found a passion for film preservation and digitization. Nick’s dual-major in Media and Communication and Interactive Media prepared him for this path by emphasizing the importance of the rapidly-changing nature of our digital world and the need to communicate effectively in that environment.
